SCIBO SEAL - Sealants:<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
  • Joint sealant<\/strong>\u00a0A material used to fill and seal joints between two building components to prevent air, water or other substances from penetrating.<\/li>
  • Expansion joint<\/strong>\u00a0A joint that is designed to absorb movements between components. These movements can be caused by temperature changes or subsidence. A flexible joint sealant is important here.<\/li>
  • MS sealants (SCIBO SEAL MS)<\/strong>\u00a0MS sealants are formulated on the basis of modified silane polymers. They offer the advantages of silicones and polyurethanes, are free from isocyanates and solvents and are suitable for a wide range of interior and exterior applications. They adhere excellently to a wide variety of substrates, even without primer, and are flexible and UV-resistant.<\/li>
  • Acetate-curing silicone (SCIBO SEAL S3XX)<\/strong>\u00a0A silicone sealant that hardens by splitting off acetic acid. These silicones adhere well to glass and ceramics, but are not suitable for all metals. They are ideal for sanitary applications as they are highly resistant to mould.<\/li>
  • Neutral curing silicone (SCIBO SEAL S1XX)<\/strong>\u00a0Silicone sealants that cure without acid formation and can therefore also be used on sensitive surfaces such as metals. They are versatile and suitable for construction applications, window and fa\u00e7ade seals.<\/li>
  • Alcoxy-curing silicone (SCIBO SEAL S7XX)<\/strong>\u00a0A special type of neutral-curing silicone sealant that cures by an alcoxy reaction. These sealants offer excellent adhesion to a wide range of surfaces and are particularly suitable for construction applications where high weather resistance and strong adhesion to sensitive surfaces are required.<\/li>
  • Acrylic sealant (SCIBO SEAL AC)<\/strong>\u00a0A water-based sealant that is used particularly indoors. It can be painted over and is suitable for joints with little movement. Acrylic sealants are low-odour and easy to apply, making them ideal for interior work. One example is the acrylic sealant Primur from Siga, which is particularly well known for the airtight bonding of building connections.<\/li>
  • Polyurethane sealant (SCIBO SEAL PU)<\/strong>\u00a0A one-component, moisture-curing polyurethane sealant that offers excellent adhesion to many building substrates such as concrete, wood and metal. SCIBO SEAL PU is characterised by high elasticity, mechanical strength and resistance to weathering, making it ideal for indoor and outdoor applications, especially for joints and connections subject to dynamic loads.<\/li>
  • Acrylic sealant for facades (SCIBO SEAL AC)<\/strong>\u00a0SCIBO SEAL AC is a high-quality, permanently elastic acrylic-based sealant that has been specially developed for use in fa\u00e7ade construction. It adheres very well to porous substrates such as concrete and masonry, can be painted over and is resistant to UV radiation and weathering. This makes it particularly suitable for external joints with moderate expansion and for connection joints in the construction industry.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    SCIBO COAT - Coatings<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    • UV resistance<\/strong>The ability of a material to withstand sunlight without discolouration or damage. UV-resistant coatings are ideal for outdoor applications.<\/li>
    • Abrasion resistance<\/strong>The resistance of a material to mechanical abrasion or wear. This is particularly important for floor coatings and heavily used surfaces.<\/li>
    • Layer thickness<\/strong>The thickness of the applied coating layer, measured in micrometres. The layer thickness influences the protective effect and resistance of the coating.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

      SCIBO INSULATE (FOAM) - Insulation<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      • PU construction foams (SCIBO FOAM)<\/strong>\u00a0Polyurethane-based construction foams are used to fill, insulate and insulate cavities. There are different fire protection classes:
        • B1<\/strong>Flame retardant, for applications where increased fire protection is required.<\/li>
        • B2<\/strong>Normally flammable, suitable for general building applications.<\/li>
        • B3<\/strong>Highly flammable, only permitted for special applications.<\/li>
        • High Yield<\/strong>Foams with high yields that can fill larger cavities and require less material.<\/li><\/ul><\/li>
        • Insulation layer<\/strong>\u00a0A layer that is applied to reduce heat transfer between two areas and thus minimise energy losses.<\/li>
        • Sound insulation<\/strong>\u00a0The ability of a material to absorb or block sound waves. Sound-insulated joints reduce noise pollution in buildings.<\/li>
        • Thermal conductivity<\/strong>\u00a0A measure of how well a material conducts heat. Low thermal conductivity means better insulation and lower energy losses.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

          • Cyanoacrylate adhesive (SCIBO BOND CA)<\/strong>\u00a0SCIBO BOND CA is a fast, one-component cyanoacrylate-based instant adhesive. It is ideal for spot bonding where fast fixation is required. SCIBO BOND CA offers very high initial adhesion to many different materials such as metal, glass, ceramics and plastics. Ideal for applications that require fast and reliable bonding, for example in modelling, electronics and repair work.<\/li>
          • Polyurethane adhesive (PU adhesive) (SCIBO BOND PU)<\/strong>\u00a0A strong, one-component, polyurethane-based adhesive known for its high strength and flexibility. PU adhesives cure through moisture and are ideal for structural bonding and demanding applications that require a strong but flexible bond. They offer excellent adhesion to various substrates such as wood, metal, concrete and plastic, making them versatile. Particularly suitable for vehicle and boat building, the construction industry and other industrial applications.<\/li>
          • 2-component polyurethane adhesive (SCIBO BOND PU DUO)<\/strong>\u00a0A high-performance 2-component polyurethane-based adhesive consisting of two components that must be mixed before use. SCIBO BOND PU DUO is characterised by its high mechanical strength and excellent adhesion to various materials. Ideal for structural bonding requiring a strong and durable bond, such as in metal construction, sandwich panels and vehicle construction.<\/li>
          • MS adhesives (SCIBO BOND MS)<\/strong>\u00a0MS adhesives are based on modified silane polymers and combine the advantages of silicone and polyurethane adhesives. They are flexible, environmentally friendly, isocyanate-free and offer strong adhesion to a wide variety of substrates.
